Zoe has a Old McDonald finger puppet book. We held it up on Saturday and she said "E-i-e-i-o" it was adorable. I tried to get it on video and of course she didn't want to cooperate. She has also been saying "Bye" a lot.
She had here "1 year" appointment last week. I say that in quotes because she is almost 14 months. But she's doing great. She's 22 lbs. and we can now get her a forward facing car seat! Yeah.
I've updated my scrapbook galleries with lots of new pages if you want to take a look. This layout is for a challenge this month to use Cosmo Cricket products and 2 pictures. I built the entire layout around that Red 2. I was just in love with it.
I've also been working on a mini book for our ward Relief Society Service Auction. I was having such a great flow of creativity when Heather was here...and now it's dwindling. But in that time period I think I got almost 20 layouts done, so that took care of most of Zoe's pictures and I'm pretty current.
Our trip to Utah will be postponed a bit, but I'm pretty sure we'll be out there in the next couple weeks.
XOXO,
Holly & Co.
So I have lots of thoughts floating today.
I really want to finally decorate our apartment/our bedroom. Zoe's room is done, although I would like to redecoratethat too. But I can't decide on a theme or even a color scheme. Sometimes I like the brights, like Orange & Grey. and other times I want crisp clean, Dusty blue & ivory. I think I might just have to be a pillow person. Get everything is basics and accessorize with pillows. Anthropologie has a gorgeous duvet on sale. I wonder how Ryan would feel about the flowers....they really are only on the bottom.
We may or may not be going to Utah in the next couple of weeks and the back and forth is driving me a little batty. My parents will be there next week but we don't know how long they are staying. And since we don't know when/if they are moving I want to make sure I get to see them when I can. My bff/neighbor will be having a baby within the next 4 weeks, sometime and I want to be here for that. Then driving......all night......with no a/c.....On the other hand I could totally go for some sister time and Cafe Rio.....decisions, decisions.
This weekend I need to seriously clean and organize closets. My side of our closet drives Ryan nuts. I need a dresser. I also can't decide how much of Zoe's baby clothes to keep. Right now I think I have 5 boxes of stuff taking up a large chunk of her closet space. Should I just keep the nice dresses and donate the rest? or should I keep it all so we don't have to buy anything if we have another girl. Thoughts?
Also, what do you do with your wedding dress? should I just fold it up nicely and put it in a box or keep it hanging? It's really poofy and takes up a lot of space.
Im really wanting to hit up Goodwill for some housewares, like shelves and stuff. Ryan is so good a refinishing stuff. Maybe I can sneak off tomorrow morning during Zoe's nap.
Zoe if growing like a weed. She looks so grown up already. I don't know what I'm going to do when she turns 2. She is loving her new hairbows that BFF Heather made when she was here. (she wore the supcake one to Grandma's today!) When she sees them she grabs them, brings them to me and motions for me to put them on her head. Then we so, " So pretty" and she runs to show Ryan how pretty she is. She cracks me up.
Alright, this concludes my randomness for today. If you made it to the bottom, thanks for reading.
XOXO,
Holly & Co.
PS. I'll be back with new pictures tomorrow.
There's no denying it.
Yesterday we discovered she knows how to count, sorta. We say, "One...Two..." and
Zoe says, " Three!" It was so cute.
Ryan and I got the rare opportunity to go to lunch today. It was so fun just being out the 2 of us. Zoe is currently eating our leftovers for dinner. :) Tonight we'll all be attending church meeting. I'm hoping I can get in some scrapping if my meeting doesn't run too late.
I'm currently pining over new scrapbooking paper by Cosmo Cricket. It just became available at my favorite online store. But since I just bought a supplies last week, I'm patiently waiting. I just love the snowmen & pink snowflake paper! I can't wait for winter.

Holly & Co.
This weekend was packed full of girlfriend fun!
Heather came into town on Thursday. We had a yummy lunch at El Torito. We swapped Ryan for Jamie with the neighbors and enjoyed an evening of "SO you think you can dance" and snacks.
Friday was spent going to see The Proposal (which is hysterical) then to Green Tangerines. (Luckily, Ryan picked up Noodles & Co for us) We spent the rest of the evening crafting and preparing for Jamie's baby shower. Heather recreated this masterpiece for the shower.
Saturday was the shower, with the best breakfast casserole I've ever had! After the shower Heather and I got pedicures and stayed up until midnight, crafting. I got 7 pages done this weekend and Heather made Zoe the most adorable bows. (Thanks again Heather!)
Here's our lovely Mom to be.
Here's Ms. Z enjoying some Mickey's ClubhouseHere's my favorite layout that I created this weekend. I debated getting these Basic Grey chipboard letters, but they ended up being on of my most favorite things I bought. (Thanks Heather for talking me into them!)Back to regular work schedule this week. Happy Birthday to Noah (1) and my Mom! We love you both and hopefully we'll get to see you in a few weeks (cross your fingers)
XOXO,
Holly & Co.
Simple updates for today:
Zoe's new words/phrases:
*Go!
*Ball
*Quack, Quack
*Hi Daddy
*Mango
Not all of these have been said on more than one day, but she is getting better. We talk a lot in our house. She definitley knows the meaning of more words than she can speak. She especially likes to hear, "Book" or "Mickey".
After last week, we were totally out of our routine and are adjusting this week. Although this week is quite busy too. We've got a couple trips to the air port, a baby shower, throw in lots of catching up and good food and that will be our weekend.
And something to make Holly happy for months to come.....Sacramento/Roseville now has a Noodles & Company. Although the food is amazing, this place holds a lot of memories for me, and I'm so happy I can visit it whenever I want! (Yes we did visit last weekend. Yes I will most likely visit again this weekend. Yes it is THAT good!)
Happy Tuesday!
XOXO,
Holly & Co.
I'm just in love with these photos Aly took! They turned out so well considering Zoe was being defiant. Here's just a sampling. The tutu was made by my friend Heather. You can see more of her stuff in her shop. I made the rosette onesie. To see the whole photoshoot, you can go here.
Zoe and I have spent the past 2 days enjoying my time off! Yesterday we went to the pool and played our hearts out. We read Hop on Pop at least 20 times. Zoe said "Tree" while we were outside and I was pointing out our surroundings. This morning we started bright and early, Our friend Aly, who toke my maternity photos, was in town and took some pictures of Zoe. I'll post those when I get them back from her. This afternoon, we visiting with the Stauffers. We played with Ethan's plastic golf clubs, those were Zoe's favorite today.
While Zoe was taking naps today, I got to scrapbook. June was so busy, I didn't have a lot of time to scrap, so I'm catching up on those photos now. Here's the fruits of my labors.
Tomorrow, it's back to work. Ryan has been at Scout Camp this week. He's actually on his way home. Next week, my BFF comes to town, for more scrapping and fun. We're hoping to get to San Francisco, since she's never been. So you'll be seeing more pages soon.
* Edited to add: I changed the title to the correct date. And WELCOME baby Asher. Mark and Brooke welcomed a healthy baby boy yesterday! We're so excited for them and can't wait to meet him. When I showed Zoe's pictures she got all excited! XOXO, Holly & Co.
We spent Saturday with the Stauffers. We had lots of yummy food. Made mostly by Jamie. The kids played in the pool. We chatted and ate. Zoe fell asleep quite early, she even slept through the fireworks outside our apartment.
She got a little bloody nose because of the heat, we think. But other than that, she had a blast!
Most of you know about my LOVE of Scrapbooking. Well I've started submitting to be published and join design teams. I'm posting to show my recent endeavors.
This page is all about Ryan's recent love of root beer. Every time we go to Bev Mo, he tries a different one!
Here's our darling neighbor Ethan. I just ADORE this picture of him.
My little Zoe bug
More Ethan.
Enjoy and feel free to comment below!
*We finally figured out what Zoe has been saying. "Odgie" or "Odie" means hungry or food or drink. Lots of meaning, but at least they all relate to hunger. She is also enjoying saying "Hi" to people on the phone. It's so excited that she is starting to speak!
XOXO,
Holly & Co.
